Faith-based early learning that supports every child’s growth—social, emotional, and spiritual.
What We Believe About Learning and Faithful Child Development
At Trinity Weekday Ministries, we believe young children thrive when they are nurtured in an environment that supports their whole development—social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and intellectual. Guided by Christian values and the ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church, our program offers learning experiences that help children grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy. We provide hands-on opportunities that encourage discovery, creativity, self-expression, and independence, recognizing that play is a child’s most effective pathway to learning.
Our classrooms are intentionally designed with learning centers, age-appropriate materials, and activities that promote language development, fine and gross motor skills, problem-solving, and imaginative exploration. Daily routines include music, art, motor activities, chapel, stories, and both indoor and outdoor play. Each activity is led by experienced teachers who understand child development and create a safe, caring environment where every child is valued.
We partner with families to cultivate positive attitudes toward learning and to help each child develop a strong sense of self, community, and belonging.

Trinity Weekday Ministries serves children 12 months through age 5, offering toddler, preschool, and pre-K classes. The program is fully licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and operates as an extension of Trinity United Methodist Church’s Christian educational ministry. Our purpose is to support the total development of each child—social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and intellectual—through well-structured learning experiences.

Enrollment begins with re-enrollment each February, followed by open enrollment in March. Priority is given first to children of church members, then returning students (church members), staff children, returning students (non-members), siblings of returning students, and finally new enrollees from the general public. Children are accepted based on the date of enrollment, and remaining vacancies are filled from the general public.

Our curriculum emphasizes learning through discovery and play, with planned activities that promote self-expression, creativity, language, motor development, and social skills. Daily experiences may include art, music, chapel, indoor and outdoor play, creative movement, block building, cooking, gardening, Spanish, science experiments, math activities, and more. We also incorporate hands-on learning centers, a well-equipped playground, a motor skills program, and exposure to Christian values through daily worship and weekly chapel. The emphasis is always on process-oriented learning and supporting children’s natural curiosity.

Discipline at Trinity Weekday Ministries focuses on positive guidance, helping children build self-control and make good choices. Teachers use redirection, gentle guidance, and calm intervention to help children regain control. If needed, a child may be brought to the office for additional support, with parents notified as behavior continues. Persistent disruptive behavior may require parent conferences, behavior review, and, in some cases, suspension or withdrawal if safety or learning is impaired. Physical or psychological punishment is never used. Our goal is always to teach appropriate behavior rather than punish inappropriate actions.

Communication between parents and teachers is ongoing and transparent. Families receive daily reports for children 12–18 months, weekly newsletters for older classes, monthly classroom calendars, and scheduled parent conferences twice a year. Parents may also request additional conferences at any time. Teachers will notify families regarding illnesses, behavioral concerns, or important classroom updates. Trinity also provides information through flyers, newsletters, and church communication channels. Maintaining strong communication ensures that parents remain informed partners in their child’s growth.
